Aude de Lamaze has been living in London for the past 25 years.
After graduating from a Master in Management at Dauphine University in Paris, Aude decided twenty years ago to devote her career to painting. She studied life drawing at the Ateliers du Carrousel in the Louvre in Paris with Jean-Claude Athané then at the Chelsea College of Art & Design in London, still lives with Mr Piketti at Ateliers des Beaux-Arts de Paris in Montparnasse, portrait with Ms Clouet-des-Pesruches at Atelier Poussin. She also practises sculpture.
Often inspired by the beauty of Renaissance paintings, sensuality of Orientalism end exotism, Aude paints faces and everyday scenes. Her painting is composed of vivid colours and her themes include a spiritual dimension. Starting from figurative drawing, she tends to abstraction by the movement she gives to her backgrounds and by the mix of media. She intends, through her art, to transmit beauty, joy or peace of mind to the viewer !
Her main activity remains portraits on commission (red charcoal, oil, pastel).
Aude regularly exhibits her works in galleries and participates to collective exhibitions in London (Royal Society of British Artists) and Paris (Art en Capital at Grand Palais, Salon d'Automne, Salon des Independants...)
Pre-selected to the Threadneedle Prize in 2013 and 2014.
Selected by the Federation of British Artists in 2009 (sculpture).
Consistently selected by Salon d'Automne in Paris since 2010.
Also selected for Salon D'automne exhibitions in China, Israel, Spain. |
